As The Havick sails on towards Baharna, the Lovelies begin work as deckhands, navigators, and physical therapists. Ambrosia learns a new lesson about being a siren from Captain Eldora, and Cora attempts to mingle with the terror bird-chickens.

On board The Havick, Ruby at last gets the medical attention she so desperately needs, but there's little they can do that won't leave her horribly scarred. Where the tide takes them surely can't be worse than where they came from, right?
